The Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 5G smartphone in Arctic Blue is built around an 8000mAh silicon-carbon battery. Xiaomi rates it for more than 3 days of light use and says it keeps 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charge cycles. It charges at 45W with the charger in the box and can charge other devices at 22.5W by cable. The phone is 8.4 mm thick and weighs 225 g.
The 6.99-inch AMOLED screen has a 1080 x 2396 resolution, refreshes at up to 120Hz, reaches 1800 nits at peak and is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 works with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The rear has a 50MP main camera with 2x in-sensor zoom and Night Mode, and the front camera is 8MP. It launched with HyperOS 3 on Android 16.
Video tops out at 1080p at 30fps, and the RAM and storage are the slower LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 types. The microSD slot shares space with the second SIM, so you can use two SIMs or one SIM and a card, and there is no headphone jack. IP65 covers dust and splashes, not swimming, and Xiaomi's warranty does not cover water damage.
Use the SIM eject tool from the box to open the tray and insert one or two Nano-SIM cards; the second slot also takes a microSD card, so you can use two SIMs or one SIM and a card. The screen protector comes pre-applied and a protective case is in the box. Charge with the power adapter and USB Type-C cable supplied, which support 45W charging. Switch the phone on and follow the on-screen steps to sign in and copy your data from your old phone.

Xiaomi India covers the phone for one year, and the battery, charger and other accessories in the box for six months, for parts and labour, starting from the date of activation. Service is walk-in at Xiaomi authorised service centres and needs a copy of the purchase invoice, the model, serial number and IMEI. The warranty is valid only in India, and does not cover physical or liquid damage, rooting, or repairs by unauthorised persons.
