Sennheiser IE 200 Wired Audiophile In-Ear Monitor Earphones - Silver Edition

The Sennheiser IE 200 are wired audiophile in-ear monitor earphones built around the 7 mm extra-wideband TrueResponse dynamic driver, the same transducer Sennheiser fits in its IE 300, IE 600 and IE 900. Sennheiser tuned the IE 200 to a diffuse-field target for balanced sound and lists a 6 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response with total harmonic distortion below 0.08 percent.

Each ear tip mounts in one of two positions on the earpiece, so you can choose how much bass reaches your ears. Silicone and memory foam tips come in three sizes, and the compact housings with adjustable ear hooks suit small and large ears. The 1.2 m braided cable detaches at gold-plated MMCX connectors and ends in an angled 3.5 mm plug, with 18 ohm impedance and a carrying pouch in the box.

The supplied cable has no microphone or inline remote, and Sennheiser sells a braided IE series cable with a mic separately. There is no active noise cancelling, only the passive seal of the ear tips, and no water or sweat resistance rating. Phones without a 3.5 mm headphone socket need a USB-C or Lightning adapter or a small DAC, which is not included.

Start with the medium silicone tips and change size, or try the memory foam tips, until the earphones seal comfortably in your ears. Each tip can sit in one of two positions on the earpiece, which changes how much bass you hear, so try both. Attach the cable to the earpieces at the MMCX connectors, left to left and right to right, and bend the ear hooks so the cable rests over your ears. Plug the 3.5 mm jack into your phone, laptop, music player or DAC and start at a low volume.

Sennheiser gives the first owner a two-year warranty from the date on the invoice when this product is bought new from an authorised Sennheiser dealer in India. A defect in materials or workmanship in that period is repaired, or the product or faulty part replaced, free of charge at Sennheiser's choice. To claim, contact Sennheiser India customer support or visit a Sennheiser service centre with the original invoice, as every claim needs it. Ear tips, detachable cables and other accessories in the box, normal wear and tear, damage from misuse or accidents, and products opened or repaired by anyone other than an authorised service partner are not covered.
