  • Closed-back, around-the-ear headphones from Sennheiser's HD 500 series that keep outside noise out and your music in.
  • Angled 38 mm dynamic drivers (Sennheiser E.A.R.) for a wide sound with a strong, full bass.
  • 1.2 m cable with a one-button remote and microphone to take calls on your phone or laptop.
  • Second 3 m cable with a 6.3 mm plug for hi-fi systems and headphone amplifiers.
  • 10 Hz to 28 kHz, 23 ohm and 115 dB SPL, so they play loud from a phone without an amplifier.
  • Soft, replaceable ear pads, about 300 g, with a two-year Sennheiser warranty.

The Sennheiser HD 569 are wired closed-back over-ear headphones for people who want one pair for music at home and calls on the phone. Sennheiser launched them in September 2016 as the closed model of its HD 500 series. Each ear cup holds a 38 mm dynamic driver angled towards the ear, which Sennheiser calls E.A.R., so the sound feels wider and more natural than it does with drivers pointing straight in. The bass is strong and full, with clear detail above it. Sennheiser lists 10 Hz to 28 kHz, 23 ohm and 115 dB SPL.

The closed ear cups block some of the room around you and keep your music from leaking to people nearby, so they suit an office or a shared home. The large ear cups sit around the ear, the ear pads are soft and replaceable, and the headphones weigh about 300 g. The cable plugs into one ear cup and comes off, so you can swap between the short phone cable with its remote and microphone and the long cable for a hi-fi system or amplifier.

At 23 ohm they play loud from a phone or laptop without an amplifier. There is no Bluetooth and no active noise cancelling, and phones without a headphone socket need a USB-C or Lightning adapter.

Choose the cable for where you are listening. For a phone, tablet or laptop, use the 1.2 m cable with the remote and its 3.5 mm plug; for a hi-fi system or headphone amplifier, use the 3 m cable with the 6.3 mm plug. Push the small plug at the other end of the cable firmly into the socket on the ear cup, and turn the volume down before you start. Put the headphones on with the L and R marks on the correct sides and adjust the headband until the ear cups sit comfortably around your ears. On a call, speak normally towards the microphone on the remote, and use its button to manage the call. Clean the headphones only with a soft, dry cloth, and keep them dry and away from heaters and strong sunlight.

Sennheiser HD 569 headphones, detachable 1.2 m cable with a one-button remote, microphone and 3.5 mm plug, and detachable 3 m cable with a 6.3 mm plug. No 3.5 mm to 6.3 mm adapter, storage bag or boom microphone is included.

Sennheiser gives the first owner a two-year warranty from the date on the invoice when this product is bought new from an authorised Sennheiser dealer in India. A defect in materials or workmanship in that period is repaired, or the product or faulty part replaced, free of charge at Sennheiser's choice. To claim, contact Sennheiser India customer support or visit a Sennheiser service centre with the original invoice, as every claim needs it. The two detachable cables in the box, the ear pads, normal wear and tear, damage from misuse or accidents, and products opened or repaired by anyone other than an authorised service partner are not covered.
