The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra in Cream is 4.1 mm thin when open and 8.9 mm folded, and weighs 215 g. Open, the 8-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen has an anti-reflective finish; closed, the 6.5-inch cover screen works like a regular phone. Both run at up to 120Hz and reach 3000 nits peak, with Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 on the cover screen and an Armor Aluminum frame.
Inside is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The back has a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide and a 10MP 3x telephoto, and both the main and ultra-wide cameras record 8K video. Each screen has its own 10MP camera. It launched with Android 17 and One UI 9, and Samsung India promises up to 7 OS upgrades.
The 5000mAh battery is rated for up to 27 hours of video playback, and Samsung sells its charger separately. There is no microSD slot, so pick the storage you need. The fold leaves a crease on the main screen, the IP48 rating means it is not dust-tight, and there is no S Pen support.
Open the SIM tray with an ejection pin and fit a Nano-SIM, or set up an eSIM in Settings; the India model takes one Nano-SIM and an eSIM, or two eSIMs. Charge with a USB Type-C cable and charger, then switch the phone on and use Samsung Smart Switch during setup to copy apps, photos and contacts from your old phone.
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. Samsung sells its charger separately and does not list one with this phone.
Samsung India covers the phone for 12 months and the accessories in the box for 6 months from the date of purchase, for manufacturing defects. Keep your invoice, as Samsung asks for it at its authorised service centres.
