The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 40mm Bluetooth in Graphite is Samsung's 2023 everyday smartwatch, with a thinner bezel and a bigger screen than the Galaxy Watch 5. The 3.33 cm Super AMOLED display (432 x 432 pixels) sits under Sapphire Crystal glass, the Armor Aluminum case weighs 28.7 g, and the watch is rated 5 ATM and IP68 and tested to MIL-STD-810H.
A dual-core 1.4 GHz processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage runs Wear OS Powered by Samsung with apps from the Google Play Store. Samsung Health tracks sleep stages and gives sleep coaching on the watch, Cycle Tracking uses skin temperature, and the sensors take ECG, blood pressure and body composition readings. Fall Detection asks if you need help after a tumble. This Bluetooth model gets its data through your phone or Wi-Fi and has no mobile network of its own.
Samsung rates the 300 mAh battery at up to 40 hours with Always On Display off and up to 30 hours with it on. GPS is single-band (L1), unlike the dual-frequency GPS of newer Galaxy Watch models. It suits swimming but not diving, and ECG and blood pressure need a Samsung Galaxy phone.
Charge the watch on the wireless charger first. On your Android phone, install or update the Galaxy Wearable app, turn on Bluetooth and follow the pairing steps in the app. Sign in to your Samsung account to sync Samsung Health data.
Samsung India covers this watch with a 12-month manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase. Keep your invoice for any service request at a Samsung service centre.
