The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in Bora Purple are in-ear wireless earbuds with Intelligent ANC and a custom coaxial 2-way speaker in each earbud. With a supported Galaxy phone, the Samsung Seamless Codec carries 24-bit audio from the phone to the earbuds. They are 15% smaller than the earlier Galaxy Buds Pro, weigh 5.5 g each, and the ear tips come in different sizes for comfort.
Intelligent ANC reduces background noise, and Voice Detect turns ANC off and switches to ambient sound when you start talking. 360 Audio with head tracking adds a surround effect on Galaxy phones, tablets and selected Samsung TVs. Six high-SNR microphones handle calls, Auto Switch moves the connection between your Galaxy phone, tablet, watch and Galaxy Book, and Bixby voice wake-up is supported.
Samsung rates up to 5 hours of music with ANC on from the earbuds and up to 18 hours with the charging case. The earbuds are IPX7 rated, but the case is not. This is an earlier Galaxy Buds model that Samsung India no longer lists. The 24-bit codec needs a Galaxy device, and an iPhone connects only as basic Bluetooth audio.
Charge the case first with a USB Type-C cable. Open the case near a Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet with Bluetooth on and tap Connect on the pop-up. Settings such as noise control, Voice Detect and the equaliser are in the Galaxy Wearable app on Android phones, which needs a Samsung Account. On other devices, including an iPhone, pair them from the Bluetooth settings as standard Bluetooth earbuds. Try the ear tip sizes to find the best seal.
Samsung India covers Galaxy Buds for 12 months from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects, with repairs carried out at Samsung authorised service centres. Keep your invoice, as Samsung asks for it with every warranty claim.
