The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G smartphone in Awesome Blue is Samsung's 2022 mid-range model, with a light blue back and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 over the screen. It measures 159.6 x 74.8 x 8.1 mm, weighs 189 g and is rated IP67 for dust and water.
The 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display runs at up to 120Hz and reaches 800 nits outdoors, and the stereo speakers support Dolby Atmos. The Exynos 1280 works with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The rear has a 64MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide, a 5MP macro and a 5MP depth camera, and the front camera is 32MP. It launched with One UI 4.1 on Android 12.
This is a 2022 model. It has had all four Android upgrades Samsung promised, up to Android 16 with One UI 8, so no more major Android versions are due, and Samsung's security update list now names the A53 5G only under its Enterprise models. Samsung India did not include a charger in the box, so a 25W adapter is bought separately. A microSD card of up to 1TB takes the place of the second SIM, and there is no headphone jack.

5000mAh is the typical battery capacity (4860mAh rated). Battery life and charging time depend on network, usage and battery age.
The charger is not included in the box. 25W charging needs a compatible Super Fast Charging adapter, sold separately.
IP67 is tested under controlled lab conditions in fresh water. The resistance is not permanent, and Samsung does not advise use at beaches, in pools or near soapy water.
This model has received its last promised Android OS upgrade. Samsung's security update list (checked October 2026) names the Galaxy A53 5G only under Enterprise models.
A microSD card uses the second SIM slot, so two SIMs and a memory card cannot be used at the same time.
5G needs a 5G plan and network coverage from your operator.
