Samsung Galaxy A16 5G Smartphone, 8GB RAM, 256GB Storage - Light Green

The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G in Light Green is 7.9 mm thick and weighs 192 g, and its IP54 rating covers dust and water splashes. The 6.7-inch (16.91 cm) FHD+ Super AMOLED screen runs at up to 90Hz with thin bezels, which suits videos, reading and casual games.

On the back are a 50MP main camera with autofocus, a 5MP ultra wide and a 2MP macro camera, and the front camera is 13MP. Video records at Full HD and 30fps. Samsung Knox Vault keeps PINs and passwords in isolated storage, Samsung Wallet supports tap and pay over NFC, and Voice Focus cuts background noise on calls.

An 8-core processor running at up to 2.4GHz works with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and a microSD card of up to 1.5TB fits in the second SIM slot. The 5000mAh battery supports 25W Super Fast Charging, but the charger is sold separately. Samsung India promises up to 6 generations of OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack, the speaker is mono and the main camera has no optical stabilisation.

Use the ejection pin from the box to open the SIM tray and fit one or two nano-SIM cards, or one nano-SIM and a microSD card. Charge with the USB Type-C cable and a compatible USB Type-C charger, as no charger is in the box. Switch the phone on and use Samsung Smart Switch during setup to copy apps, photos and contacts from your old phone.

Samsung India covers the phone for 12 months and the accessories in the box for 6 months from the date of purchase, for manufacturing defects. Keep your invoice, as Samsung asks for it at its authorised service centres.
