The Samsung Galaxy A08 4G in Dark Blue is 8.0 mm thin and weighs 197 g, and it is rated IP64 against dust and water splashes. Its 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD screen shows 720 x 1600 pixels. Inside is the 8-core MediaTek Helio G99+ with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and a separate microSD slot takes a card of up to 2TB.
The back has a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 lens and autofocus next to a 2MP camera, and video records in Full HD at 30fps. The front camera is 8MP. It launched with One UI 9 based on Android 17, and Samsung India promises up to 6 generations of OS upgrades with security updates until 30 September 2032. Knox Vault protects passwords and passkeys.
The 6000mAh battery charges over USB Type-C at up to 25W, but there is no charger in the box; Samsung sells its 25W charger separately. This is a 4G phone, so it does not connect to 5G. The screen is an HD+ LCD panel, there is a single speaker, and IP64 covers dust and splashes, not swimming. It keeps a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Use the ejection pin from the box to open the SIM tray. Fit one or two Nano-SIMs, and a microSD card in its own slot if you want more storage. No charger or cable is listed in the box, so charge with a USB Type-C cable and charger you already have. Switch the phone on and use Samsung Smart Switch during setup to copy apps, photos and contacts from your old phone.
Galaxy A08 4G, SIM ejection pin and quick start guide. No charger or cable is included.
Samsung India covers the handset and battery for 12 months and the accessories in the box for 6 months from the date of purchase, for manufacturing defects. Keep your invoice, as Samsung asks for it at its authorised service centres.
