The Realme 16 5G smartphone in Air Black has a dark matte back and a horizontal Camera Bar with a small Selfie Mirror beside the lenses. It is about 8.1 mm thick and 183 g, light for a phone with a 7000mAh battery, and it is rated IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K against dust and water.
The 6.57-inch flexible AMOLED shows Full HD+ at up to 120Hz, with 10-bit colour and up to 4200 nits peak brightness. Both the front and the main rear camera are 50MP, the rear one a Sony IMX852 with autofocus, next to a 2MP monochrome sensor. MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo runs with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and the phone launched with realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16.
The battery charges at up to 60W with the charger in the box, and it also supports reverse and bypass charging. Worth knowing: video tops out at 1080p, there is no ultra wide camera, and Wi-Fi 5 is an older standard. Realme India lists no NFC, no eSIM and no headphone jack, and liquid damage is not covered by the warranty despite the IP ratings.
Use the SIM ejector tool from the box to insert one or two Nano-SIM cards. Charge with the charger and USB data cable supplied. Switch the phone on and follow the on-screen steps to sign in and copy your apps and data from your old phone.
