Hawas For Him was released by Rasasi in 2015 and quickly became the house's signature men's fragrance. It pairs a juicy, fruity opening with a fresh aquatic heart and a warm, ambery base, which gives it more depth than most fresh scents in its price range.
The opening is bright and slightly spicy. Crisp apple and bergamot lead, lemon sharpens the edges, and a touch of cinnamon adds warmth from the very first spray.
In the heart, plum and orange blossom bring a soft, sweet fruitiness, while cardamom and watery notes keep it airy. The drydown settles into ambergris, musk, patchouli and driftwood, a smooth woody trail that lasts well into the day.
The bottle is a rounded rectangle of clear glass holding a lilac coloured juice, finished with a heavy metal cap textured like snakeskin. The black carton repeats the snakeskin pattern around the Hawas name.
It is at its best in spring and summer and is worn more often during the day. Community ratings describe it as long lasting with strong projection, so two or three sprays are usually enough.
Spray from about 15 cm onto pulse points such as the neck, wrists and inner elbows. Apply to clean, moisturised skin and let it dry without rubbing, which can dull the top notes. Two or three sprays are usually enough.
Keep the bottle in its box, away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity. A cool, dry cupboard is better than a bathroom shelf. Close the cap after each use.
