The OPPO Reno16c 5G in Stellar Purple is about 158.2 mm tall and 8.4 mm thick, and weighs about 195 g. The glass back carries OPPO's HoloVerse 3D planet design, and OPPO rates the phone IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K for water and dust in its lab tests. The 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen runs at up to 120Hz, shows 1.07 billion colours and reaches 1400 nits in high brightness mode.
On the back are a 50MP main camera and a 50MP telephoto camera, both with 2-axis OIS, plus an 8MP ultra wide. The telephoto gives 3.5x optical zoom for distant subjects and portraits, and the front has a 50MP ultra wide selfie camera with a 100-degree view. Both sides record 4K video at 30fps.
Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and it takes a storage card for more space. The 7000mAh battery charges at up to 80W, from 1% to 100% in about 62 minutes by OPPO's figures, with the charger in the box. It runs ColorOS 16, takes two nano-SIMs and has no NFC or eSIM.
Use the SIM ejector tool from the box to open the SIM tray and fit up to two nano-SIM cards; eSIM is not supported. Charge the phone with the charger and USB cable from the box, switch it on and follow the setup steps. OPPO's Clone Phone app can copy contacts, photos and apps from your old phone.
