The OnePlus 15R 5G smartphone in Charcoal Black has a deep black finish that keeps reflections down, is 8.3 mm thick and weighs about 218 g. Its 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen refreshes at up to 165Hz, reaches 1800 nits in high brightness mode and sits under Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, and a dedicated touch chip samples at up to 3200Hz. OnePlus rates the phone IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K.
Inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 with 12GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage, kept cool by a large vapour chamber. The back has a 50MP Sony IMX906 main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide, and the main camera records 4K video at up to 120fps. The 32MP front camera has autofocus. It runs OxygenOS 16 on Android 16, with Plus Mind and the Plus Key.
The 7400mAh battery goes from 1 to 50% in about 23 minutes with the 80W SUPERVOOC charger in the box, and bypass charging powers the phone directly during long games. There is no telephoto camera, memory card slot, headphone jack or eSIM. The 165Hz mode works only in supported apps, and the water ratings cover fresh water only.
Use the SIM ejector tool from the box to open the tray and fit one or two Nano-SIMs. Charge with the 80W SUPERVOOC adapter and cable from the box, switch the phone on, and use OnePlus Clone Phone during setup to copy data from your old phone. Then register a fingerprint on the in-display sensor and choose what the Plus Key does.
