Nokia 106 4G Dual SIM Keypad Mobile Phone - Charcoal

The Nokia 106 4G keypad phone in Charcoal is a simple dual SIM phone made by HMD and manufactured in India, built for clear calls and long battery life. It has a 1.77-inch QQVGA IPS screen above a large numeric keypad, and the light polycarbonate back has a nano-textured finish.

It takes two Nano-SIM cards and supports 4G VoLTE with HD voice calling on Jio and other 4G networks. A larger font option and a zoomed menu view make it easier to read, and quick dial makes calling favourite contacts simpler. For music there is FM radio that plays with or without wired earphones, an MP3 player, a 3.5mm jack and Bluetooth 5.0. The Opera Mini browser, a torch, an alarm, a calendar and a calculator are built in.

There is no camera, and the small, low resolution screen suits calls and texts rather than media. HMD lists no app store or WhatsApp. The MP3 player and voice recorder need a microSD card (sold separately). It charges over Micro USB, not Type-C, and the IP52 rating covers dust and dripping water only. HMD rates talk time at up to 8 hours and standby at up to 12 days.

Lift off the back cover from the small slot at the bottom and take out the battery. Slide a Nano-SIM into the SIM slot and, for a second number, another into the SIM2 slot, then add a microSD card if you have one. Put the battery and cover back, charge the phone with the charger from the box, and switch it on by pressing and holding the Power/End key. Set the time under Menu, Settings, Phone settings, Time & date.
