The Motorola Moto G86 Power 5G in Pantone Spellbound has a vegan leather back, a body 8.65 mm thick and a weight of 198 g. The 6.7-inch AMOLED screen shows 2712 x 1220 pixels at up to 120Hz, with HDR10+ and up to 4500 nits of HDR peak brightness, under Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. It is rated IP68 and IP69 against water and dust, and Motorola India lists MIL-STD-810H testing.
The back has a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 main camera with f/1.88, Quad PDAF and optical image stabilisation, next to an 8MP ultra wide that also takes macro shots. Both rear cameras record 4K video at 30fps, and so does the 32MP front camera. Night Vision, Portrait and Pro mode are in the camera app.
Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 (4nm) with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of storage. The 6720mAh battery charges at 33W with TurboPower, and Motorola India lists a 33W charger in the box. Stereo speakers support Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio. Worth knowing: a microSD card takes the second SIM slot, there is no headphone jack, FM radio or NFC, and Motorola India lists 1 Android upgrade and 3 years of security updates.
Use the SIM tool from the box to open the tray and fit one or two Nano-SIM cards, or one Nano-SIM and a microSD card, as the second slot is shared. Charge with the 33W charger and USB cable supplied. Switch the phone on, register your fingerprint on the in-display sensor and follow the on-screen steps to sign in and copy your apps and data from your old phone.
Moto G86 Power 5G, 33W charger, USB cable, SIM tool and guides.
