The Motorola Edge 70 in Pantone Gadget Grey is 5.99 mm thin and weighs 159 g. It has an aircraft-grade aluminium frame, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on the front, a nylon-inspired back finish, IP68 and IP69 water protection and MIL-STD-810H testing. The 6.7-inch Extreme AMOLED screen shows 2712 x 1220 pixels at up to 120Hz, with HDR10+ and up to 4500 nits peak brightness.
On the back are two 50MP cameras: a main camera with f/1.8 and OIS, and an ultra wide with a 120-degree view that also takes macro shots. The front camera is also 50MP. Photos get Pantone Validated colour and skin tones, Night Vision and up to 20x Super Zoom, and the phone records video in 4K.
Inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of storage. The 5000mAh silicon-carbon battery is rated for up to 25 hours of video playback. It charges at 68W with the TurboPower charger in the box, or at 15W wirelessly. It runs Android 16 with 3 years of OS upgrades. Worth knowing: the wireless charger is sold separately, there is no headphone jack, and the USB Type-C port runs at USB 2.0 speed.
Use the SIM tool from the box to open the SIM tray and fit one or two nano-SIM cards. Charge with the 68W TurboPower charger and USB Type-C cable supplied. Switch the phone on and follow the on-screen steps to sign in and copy your apps and data from your old phone.
