  • Two 2-inch 10W full-range drivers and two passive radiators, powered by two 10W Class D amplifiers for 20W in total.
  • True Stereophonic processing spreads stereo sound 360 degrees around the speaker, rated 60 Hz to 20 kHz and 87 dB SPL at 1 m.
  • 30+ hours of playtime from the built-in lithium-ion battery; a full USB-C charge takes 3 hours and 20 minutes of charging gives about 4 hours.
  • IP67 rated: dust tight and able to survive 30 minutes under 1 m (3 ft) of water.
  • Bluetooth 5.1 with a range of up to 10 m (30 ft), plus the Marshall Bluetooth app for EQ presets and over-the-air software updates.
  • Stack Mode links two or more Emberton II, Middleton or Willen speakers to play the same music in sync, with the volume set on each speaker.

The Marshall Emberton II is a portable Bluetooth speaker that measures 160 x 76 x 68 mm and weighs 0.7 kg, small enough for one hand. A textured silicone sleeve covers the body, with a solid metal grille and the Marshall script on the front. It is rated IP67, so it is dust tight and survives 30 minutes in 1 m of water.

Two 10W amplifiers drive two 2-inch full-range drivers, with two passive radiators for the low end. Marshall's True Stereophonic processing spreads the sound in every direction, so it sounds much the same wherever you sit. One knob on top handles power, playback and volume, and a 10-segment light shows the battery level. The battery lasts 30+ hours, a full USB-C charge takes 3 hours, and 20 minutes gives about 4 hours of play.

Bluetooth 5.1 reaches up to 10 m. There is no microphone or AUX input, so it cannot take calls or answer a voice assistant. Marshall tunes it for clear vocals rather than deep bass, so a bigger speaker suits a loud outdoor party better. The Marshall Bluetooth app adds EQ presets and updates, and Stack Mode plays the same music on two or more Emberton II, Middleton or Willen speakers.

Honestly didn't expect much given the size but this thing gets LOUD without distorting. Dropped it off my balcony once (oops) and it survived fine. Battery easily lasts a weekend of casual use.
