The JBL Xtreme 4 is a portable Bluetooth speaker built around two 70 mm woofers, two 20 mm tweeters and a passive radiator at each end. It delivers 100W RMS when plugged into a USB-C charger and 70W on battery. AI Sound Boost reads the music in real time to hold distortion down at high volume, and the JBL Portable app adds EQ presets, a custom EQ and software updates.
The body is rated IP67, so it is dust tight and can sit in water 1 m deep for 30 minutes. It comes with an adjustable shoulder strap that has a bottle opener built in. The 68 Wh battery runs up to 24 hours, plus 6 more with Playtime Boost, and 10 minutes of charging adds about 2 hours. A worn battery can be swapped for a JBL Battery 400, sold separately. The USB-C port also charges your phone.
Two Xtreme 4 speakers pair in stereo over Auracast, and Bluetooth 5.3 supports multipoint, so more than one phone can stay connected. The app can also link it with older PartyBoost speakers. There is no microphone, AUX input or Wi-Fi. Playtime Boost thins out the bass, and real playtime drops at high volume.

sound quality is genuinely impressive for outdoor use, filled our whole terrace easily. only downside is its heavier than i thought so not really something youd carry around all day
