JBL Quantum 250 Wired Over-Ear Gaming Headset with Detachable Mic - Black

The JBL Quantum 250 wired gaming headset uses 50 mm dynamic drivers with carbon damping, which JBL says keeps distortion low. A removable 1.5 m braided cable with 3.5 mm plugs at both ends carries game sound and voice chat to a PC, Mac, PlayStation or Xbox controller, Nintendo Switch or phone.

The 6 mm cardioid boom mic picks up mostly from the front, so it favours your voice over keyboard noise, and it pulls out when you only want to listen. The volume control and mic mute button sit on the left ear cup. Breathable fabric ear cushions and a mesh hammock under the headband spread its 282.6 g weight. The cable, mic, cushions and hammock can all be replaced, with spare parts sold separately.

JBL's free QuantumENGINE app for Windows and Mac supports the Quantum 250 over its 3.5 mm cable, with no USB dongle needed, and adds Quantum Spatial Sound, EQ profiles and mic noise reduction. There is no app on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch or phones, so there it plays standard stereo. It has no Bluetooth, battery or RGB lighting, and PCs with separate headphone and mic sockets need a Y-splitter, which is not in the box.

Push the boom mic into its socket on the left ear cup and fit the foam windshield if you want it. Plug one end of the 3.5 mm cable into the bottom of the left ear cup and the other into your PC, laptop, phone or Nintendo Switch, or into the 3.5 mm socket on your PlayStation or Xbox controller; there is nothing to charge or pair. Use the volume control and the mic mute button on the left ear cup. If your desktop PC has separate headphone and mic sockets, add a 3.5 mm headset Y-splitter, sold separately. For Quantum Spatial Sound, EQ and mic noise reduction on a Windows PC or Mac, install the free JBL QuantumENGINE app from the JBL website.

Harman India gives JBL products bought from an authorised Harman dealer in India a one-year limited warranty from the date on the invoice. Defective parts are repaired or replaced free of charge at an authorised Harman service centre; Harman does not give refunds on warranty claims. Log a request with JBL India customer support first, and keep the original invoice, as every claim needs it. Physical or accidental damage, batteries and buttons that wear with use, accessories such as charging cables and power adapters, and repairs by anyone other than an authorised service centre are not covered.
