JBL Grip Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Red

The JBL Grip is a portable Bluetooth speaker shaped like a tall drinks can, 152.5 mm high and 385 g, so it sits easily in one hand. A single 43 x 80 mm full-range driver puts out 16W RMS, and AI Sound Boost adjusts the output in real time to hold back distortion as the volume goes up.

A light strip on the back glows in several themes, changed with the button below it, and the JBL Portable app sets its colour and brightness and adds a 7-band EQ. The body is rated IP68, so it is dust tight and can stay 1.5 m under water for 30 minutes, and JBL says it survives a 1 m drop onto concrete. A rope loop on the back lets you hang it from a bag.

The battery gives up to 12 hours, plus 2 more with Playtime Boost, and recharges in about 3 hours from a 5V, 3A USB-C charger. Two Grips pair in stereo over Auracast, and more Auracast-enabled JBL speakers can join. There is no microphone or AUX input, one Grip plays in mono, the sound thins out near full volume, and no USB-C cable or charger is included.

Charge the speaker before first use with your own USB-C cable and charger; a 5V, 3A USB-C supply fills it in about 3 hours. Press the Power button on the top, then the Bluetooth button beside it, and pick JBL Grip in your phone's Bluetooth list. Press play once to play or pause, twice to skip forward and three times to go back. Press the Auracast button to link a second Grip or other Auracast-enabled JBL speakers. The button below the light strip on the back switches between light themes. Install the JBL Portable app for EQ, lighting and software updates.

Harman India gives JBL products bought from an authorised Harman dealer in India a one-year limited warranty from the date on the invoice. Defective parts are repaired or replaced free of charge at an authorised Harman service centre; Harman does not give refunds on warranty claims. Log a request with JBL India customer support first, and keep the original invoice, as every claim needs it. Physical or accidental damage, batteries and buttons that wear with use, accessories such as charging cables and power adapters, and repairs by anyone other than an authorised service centre are not covered.
