JBL Clip 4 Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Black

The JBL Clip 4 is a portable Bluetooth speaker built around a 40 mm driver, with 5W RMS of output and a 100 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. The fabric-wrapped body weighs 239 g, and the carabiner is part of the frame, so it hooks straight onto a backpack strap, a belt loop or a bag handle.

The IP67 rating means it is sealed against dust and can stay in water up to 1 m deep for 30 minutes, which covers rain, pool splashes and sand. The battery lasts up to 10 hours per charge and refills in about 3 hours over USB-C. It streams from a phone, tablet or laptop over Bluetooth 5.1, with play, skip and volume buttons on the front.

The Clip 4 has no microphone, so it cannot take calls, and it has no AUX input, no companion app and no way to pair a second speaker. It connects to one device at a time. Reviewers find it loud for its size with clear vocals, but the bass is light next to bigger speakers, so it suits personal listening more than parties. Charge the speaker with the supplied USB-C cable; the port is on the bottom. Press the Power button on the side, then press the Bluetooth button next to it and pick JBL Clip 4 in your phone's Bluetooth list. On the front, press the play button once to play or pause and twice to skip to the next track, and use the minus and plus buttons for volume. The small light on the front shows when the speaker is charging and when the battery is low.

Defective parts are repaired or replaced free of charge at an authorised Harman service centre; Harman does not give refunds on warranty claims. Log a request with JBL India customer support first, and keep the original invoice, as every claim needs it. Physical or accidental damage, batteries and buttons that wear with use, accessories such as charging cables and power adapters, and repairs by anyone other than an authorised service centre are not covered.
