The HMD 100 keypad phone in Red is a small, light phone for calls and text messages. It weighs 73 g, has a 1.77-inch colour screen above a large keypad, and is built on a robust frame with clean lines and a removable back cover.
It takes one standard Mini-SIM card. The FM radio plays with or without wired earphones plugged in, and Text-to-Speech, a torch, an alarm clock, a calendar and a calculator are built in. The removable 800mAh battery charges over Micro USB with the charger in the box, and HMD rates it for up to 168 hours (about 7 days) on standby and up to 6 hours of talk time.
This is a 2G phone for GSM 900 and 1800 MHz networks, so 4G-only SIM cards will not work in it. This listing is the single SIM version (model TA-1761). HMD's specifications list no memory card slot, camera, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and storage is 4MB, so it is not a phone for music or photos. HMD gives no water or dust rating for this model.
Put your fingernail in the small slot at the bottom of the phone, lift off the back cover and take out the battery if it is in. Slide a standard-size SIM into the SIM slot with the contacts facing down, then put the battery and cover back. Charge the phone with the Micro USB charger from the box and switch it on by pressing and holding the power/end key. To turn the torch on or off, press the scroll key up twice on the home screen.
