Stronger With You Intensely arrived in 2019 as a richer, sweeter version of the original Stronger With You. Armani describes it as an intense fougère with an ambery, woody character, and on skin it reads as the most comforting member of the line: spiced at first, then soft and gourmand as it dries down.
The opening is bright and peppery. Pink pepper and juniper give it a sharp lift, while violet leaf adds a cool green edge that keeps the sweetness in check for the first few minutes.
The heart is where it becomes recognisable. Lavender and sage carry the classic fougère structure, and toffee and cinnamon wrap around them with a warm, almost edible note. The base settles into vanilla, amber and tonka bean, with a touch of suede that gives the drydown a smooth, slightly leathery texture.
The bottle keeps the Stronger With You shape: a squared glass flacon with rounded shoulders and a dark ridged cap stamped with the Armani eagle. Here the juice is a deep amber, which matches the scent inside.
It is at its best in autumn and winter, and most wearers save it for evenings and nights out. Community ratings describe it as long lasting with strong projection, so a few sprays go a long way.
Spray from about 15 cm onto pulse points such as the neck, wrists and inner elbows. Apply to clean, moisturised skin and let it dry without rubbing, which can dull the top notes. Two or three sprays are usually enough.
Keep the bottle in its box, away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity. A cool, dry cupboard is better than a bathroom shelf. Close the cap after each use.
