Dyson WashG1 WR01 Wet Floor Cleaner - Ultra Blue/Matt Black

The Dyson WashG1 WR01 is Dyson's first dedicated wet floor cleaner, built for tiles, vinyl, laminate and sealed wooden floors. Instead of vacuum suction, two motorised counter-rotating microfibre rollers lift stains, spills, hair and dry debris in one pass, so there is no need to vacuum first.

On every rotation the rollers are cleaned and then rehydrated from 26 hydration points fed by a pulse-modulated pump, so the floor is washed with clean water from start to finish. Secondary brush bars pull hair and debris off the rollers into a removable tray, while extraction plates squeeze dirty water into a separate 0.8 litre tank. The clean water tank holds 1 litre, and the blue button switches between levels 1, 2 and 3 and a MAX setting.

A click-in battery with four lithium-ion cells gives up to 35 minutes of run time, and Dyson estimates coverage of up to 3100 sq ft. Back on the dock, a 140-second self-clean cycle flushes the system while it charges. It weighs 4.9 kg. It is made for hard floors only, so you still need a vacuum for carpets and upholstery.

Unpack the cleaner and place the charging dock on a hard floor near a socket. Stand the cleaner on the dock and charge it, using the charger with or without the dock. Fill the clean water tank, press the red power button under the screen and choose a level with the blue button. After each clean, return it to the dock to run the self-clean cycle.
