DJI Osmo Mobile 8P Advanced Tracking Combo 3-Axis Smartphone Gimbal

The DJI Osmo Mobile 8P Advanced Tracking Combo is a foldable 3-axis smartphone gimbal for phones weighing 170 to 300 g, 67 to 84 mm wide and 6.9 to 11 mm thick. The pan axis turns 360 degrees without limit, the built-in extension rod reaches 215 mm, and a tripod is built into the handle. Fully fitted it weighs about 386 g.

In the DJI Mimo app, ActiveTrack 8.0 keeps people in frame, even in crowds. The Multifunctional Module 2 in this combo also tracks cats, dogs, vehicles and objects you select, and has a fill light of up to 40 lux from 2500 to 6500 K. On supported iPhones, Apple DockKit extends tracking to other camera apps. The magnetic Osmo FrameTap remote has a 1.4-inch touchscreen that mirrors the shot and a joystick.

The 3350mAh battery runs for about 10 hours with the gimbal balanced and still, or about 5 hours with Module 2 tracking on and the fill light off. It charges over USB-C in about 2.5 hours and can top up your phone, which shortens its own runtime. Phones over 300 g or 11 mm thick are outside DJI's range.

Charge the gimbal with the USB-C power cable in the box. Fit the Magnetic Phone Clamp 5 to your phone, attach it to the gimbal and unfold the arm. Install the DJI Mimo app and follow its steps to connect the gimbal over Bluetooth. Fit the Multifunctional Module 2 to the clamp and use the Osmo FrameTap remote when you need tracking or remote control.
