The DJI Osmo Mobile 7P is a foldable 3-axis smartphone gimbal for phones of 170 to 300 g, 67 to 84 mm wide and 6.9 to 10 mm thick. It has a built-in extension rod of up to 215 mm and a tripod in the handle, weighs about 368 g fully fitted and folds to 190 x 95 x 46 mm.
ActiveTrack 7.0 in the DJI Mimo app follows the subject you select. The DJI OM Multifunctional Module that comes with the 7P starts tracking with a palm gesture or the trigger in your phone's native camera app, live streaming apps and other camera apps. Its fill light reaches 40 lux, with a colour temperature of 2500 to 6000 K.
The 3350mAh battery lasts about 10 hours with the gimbal balanced and still, about 5 hours with module tracking on and the fill light off, and about 4 hours with the light at full brightness. It charges over USB-C in about 2.5 hours with a 10W charger and can charge your phone. Pan travel runs from -109 to 222 degrees, so it does not spin a full circle.
Charge the gimbal with the USB-C power cable in the box. Fit the magnetic phone clamp to your phone, attach it to the gimbal and unfold the arm. Install the DJI Mimo app and follow its steps to connect the gimbal over Bluetooth. Attach the Multifunctional Module when you want tracking in other camera apps or the fill light.
