The Bose Bass Module 700 is a wireless subwoofer that adds deeper bass to a Bose soundbar. It is the bigger of Bose's two bass modules at 295 x 295 x 328 mm and 13.6 kg, against the Bass Module 500's 10 inch cube and 5.2 kg. One driver works with a QuietPort bass port at the base, under a tempered glass top. Bose suggests the floor along the TV wall, nearer a corner for more bass.
It links wirelessly to the Smart Ultra Soundbar, Smart Soundbar 900, 700, 600 and 300, Soundbar 500 and SoundTouch 300, set up in the Bose app or with the SoundTouch 300 remote. The Bose TV Speaker and Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar connect by 3.5 mm cable, sold separately. On Lifestyle 650 and 600 systems it joins as a second bass module. There are no buttons, just a status light on the back.
This is not a standalone speaker. It has no Bluetooth and can't pair with a phone, a TV or another brand's soundbar. Owners mostly praise the depth it adds to films and music. Some found the first wireless pairing fiddly, and it costs and weighs much more than the 500.
