boAt Stone Spinx Pro 20W Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Midnight Black

The boAt Stone Spinx Pro is a portable Bluetooth speaker in Midnight Black, built as a fabric covered cylinder of about 940 g with a carry strap at the top. A 57 mm driver gives 20W RMS output across 40 Hz to 18 kHz, and an RGB strip runs down the front with its own button for the light effects.

It connects over Bluetooth 5.0 with a range of about 10 metres, and two Stone Spinx Pro speakers can be linked in TWS mode. Without a phone, it plays music from a USB flash drive or a microSD card, takes a wired AUX source with the cable in the box or tunes FM radio. A built-in mic handles hands-free calls, and a long press on play calls up your phone's voice assistant.

boAt rates the battery for up to 8 hours, and it recharges over USB Type-C in up to 4 hours from a 5V adapter, which is not in the box. IPX4 covers splashes only, so keep it out of the water. Some buyers find the bass lighter than the size suggests and report the odd Bluetooth stutter, and the buttons do not work in AUX mode.

Charge the speaker before first use with the Type-C cable from the box and a 5V phone charger; boAt does not include an adapter and warns against 9V or 12V fast chargers. The red charging light goes off when it is full. Hold the power button for about 3 seconds to switch it on, then pick "Stone Spinx Pro" from your phone's Bluetooth list.
