boAt Stone 193 5W Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Black

The boAt Stone 193 is a portable Bluetooth speaker in Black, shaped as a round fabric covered disc with a knotted lanyard for hanging it from a bag or a hook. Inside, a single 52 mm full range driver puts out 5W of mono sound, which suits a desk, a bedroom or a small group.

It connects over Bluetooth 5.0 from up to 10 metres away, and the AUX input with the included audio cable covers laptops and music players without Bluetooth. A built-in mic handles hands-free calls, and a short press of the power button brings up your phone's voice assistant. Pair a second Stone 193 over TWS for left and right stereo. The volume and play buttons sit on the front, with the power and mode buttons on the side.

The IPX7 rating means it can take rain, splashes and a dip in water up to 1 metre deep, so it works by the pool or outdoors. The small 800 mAh battery is the trade-off: boAt rates it for up to 4 hours per charge, and it takes about 1.5 hours to fill. There is no charger in the box, but a phone charger works.

Charge the speaker before first use with the charging cable from the box and any phone charger; boAt does not include an adapter. Hold the power button for 3 seconds to switch it on, turn on Bluetooth on your phone and pick the boAt speaker from the list of nearby devices. To play from a wired source, connect the audio cable and press the mode button to switch to AUX.
