The boAt Stone 135 is a compact portable Bluetooth speaker with a round body that fits in your palm and an attached carry strap. A single 2 inch driver puts out 5W, and at 235 g it drops easily into a bag. Bluetooth 5.0 connects it to Android phones, iPhones and laptops from up to 10 metres away.
Apart from Bluetooth, it plays music from a microSD card and has a built-in FM radio. Pair a second Stone 135 over TWS and both speakers play together for a fuller sound. The built-in mic handles hands-free calls, and the middle button can also call up the voice assistant on your phone. Three buttons on the side cover power, volume, tracks and calls.
The 800 mAh battery lasts up to 11 hours at 80% volume and charges over USB Type-C in about 2.5 hours from your phone charger, as no adapter is included. IPX4 covers splashes and sweat, not a dunk in water, and there is no AUX input. Owners find it fills a small room but not a big space, and the sound gets rough at full volume, so it suits a desk, bedside or day trip best.
