boAt Stone 1010 14W Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Black

The boAt Stone 1010 is a portable Bluetooth speaker in Black, built as a rugged, shock resistant box with a carry handle on top. Two full range drivers give 14W of stereo output across 20 Hz to 20 kHz, and four buttons on one end cap handle power, play/pause, volume, track skip and mode.

Bluetooth reaches up to about 10 metres. Without a phone, it plays music straight from a USB flash drive, takes a wired source through the AUX input with the cable from the box, or tunes FM radio. The M button moves between Bluetooth, AUX and FM, and the built-in mic lets you take calls on the speaker.

boAt rates the 3000 mAh battery for about 8 hours, and it charges over Micro USB in about 4 hours while still playing music. IPX5 covers splashes and rain, but only with the port lid shut tight, and it is not made to go under water. There is no microSD slot and no RGB lighting, and some buyers say it switches off or drains quickly at full volume.

Charge the speaker before first use with the Micro USB cable from the box; boAt's manual suggests a 1.0A USB charger or a computer USB port, and no adapter is included. The charging light turns off when it is full, which takes about 4 hours. Switch it on, wait for the blue Bluetooth light to flash, then pick "boAt Stone 1010 speaker" from your phone's Bluetooth list.
