The boAt Nirvana Lucid true wireless noise cancelling earbuds put a 10 mm driver with boAt Signature Sound in each bud and use active noise cancellation that boAt rates at up to 32 dB, for the commute, the office or a flight. A three-second touch on the right earbud moves between Normal, Ambient and ANC modes, and the earbuds remember the last mode you used. The boAt Hearables app adds Adaptive EQ by Mimi, which tunes the sound to a short hearing test, along with firmware updates and battery levels for each earbud.

Four microphones with AI ENx cut the background noise on calls, SpeakThru Mode on the left earbud lowers the music when you start talking, and SmartTalk lets you answer or reject a call by saying "accept" or "reject". Multipoint keeps the earbuds connected to a phone and a laptop at the same time, in-ear detection pauses the music when you take an earbud out, and BEAST Mode cuts the audio delay to about 60 ms for games and video.

boAt rates playback at up to 60 hours in total with ANC off (12 hours per charge), or 45 hours with ANC on, and ASAP Charge gives about 240 minutes of music from a 10-minute charge. This Gunmetal Black pair has an IPX5 rating for sweat and splashes, not swimming. Volume is set from the connected phone or laptop. A USB Type-C cable and two extra pairs of ear tips are in the box, but no power adapter.

Charge the earbuds fully before first use with the Type-C cable from the box, keeping the case lid closed while they charge; no adapter is included. Open the lid with the earbuds inside, remove the protective film, and IWP switches them on and puts them in pairing mode, shown by a flashing white light. Pick "Nirvana Lucid" in your phone's Bluetooth list within 5 minutes (Android phones can also pair with Google Fast Pair); after that the earbuds reconnect to the last devices they used each time the case opens. Install the boAt Hearables app from the Play Store or App Store to set Adaptive EQ, check the battery of each earbud, turn multipoint on or off and update the firmware, which also switches on SpeakThru Mode. Controls: a single tap on either earbud plays, pauses or answers a call; a double tap on the right earbud skips to the next track or ends a call; a double tap on the left goes back a track or rejects a call; a triple tap on the left turns BEAST Mode on or off; a three-second touch on the right cycles Normal, Ambient and ANC; a three-second touch on the left turns SpeakThru Mode on or off. Volume is set from the phone. To reset, forget "Nirvana Lucid" on your phone, put both earbuds in the case and hold the reset button on the case for 10 seconds until the case light flashes 5 times and the earbuds flash 3 times, close the lid for a few seconds, then open it and pair again.
