The boAt Nirvana Iris true wireless noise cancelling earbuds put a 10 mm driver in each bud and use active noise cancellation that boAt rates at up to 32 dB, with an Ambient mode for when you need to hear what is around you. Two EQ modes switch between boAt Signature Sound for heavier bass and Crystal Bionic Sound, which is tuned by a HiFi DSP for clarity. The boAt Hearables app adds boAt Spatial Audio, Pop, Rock and custom equaliser settings, and Adaptive EQ by Mimi. Four microphones with ENx cut the background noise on calls.
Multipoint keeps the earbuds connected to two devices at once, such as a phone and a laptop, and IWP reconnects them as soon as the case opens. In-ear detection plays the music when the earbuds go in and pauses it when they come out, and BEAST Mode brings the audio delay down to about 60 ms for games and video. boAt rates playback at up to 120 hours in total with ANC off, or 100 hours with ANC on, and ASAP Charge gives about 150 minutes of music from a 10-minute charge.
This Quartz White pair comes in a compact, pocketable charging case. Volume is set from the phone unless you give a tap that job in the app, and IPX4 covers sweat and splashes, not swimming. A USB Type-C cable and two spare ear tips are in the box, but no power adapter.
Charge the case and earbuds fully before first use with the Type-C cable from the box; no adapter is included, and boAt recommends a 5V 2A adapter (not a 9V or 12V fast charger). Open the case lid and the earbuds switch on with a short white light; take them out and the LEDs flash white for pairing. Pick "Nirvana Iris" in your phone's Bluetooth list (Android phones can also save it to your Google account for faster pairing); after that IWP reconnects them each time the case opens. Scan the QR code on the bottom of the box, or search the Play Store or App Store, to install the boAt Hearables app, which turns on Spatial Audio, sets the equaliser, switches in-ear detection on or off, changes the touch controls and runs a self-check of the earbuds. By default a single tap on either earbud plays, pauses or answers a call, a double tap ends or rejects a call, a double tap on the left or right earbud goes to the previous or next track, and a triple tap turns BEAST Mode on or off. The case light shows its charge when the lid opens: red under 30%, white from 30 to 70% and green above 70%. To reset, forget "Nirvana Iris" on your phone, then in the boAt Hearables app open the help section (?), choose Malfunctioning and tap Reset My Device, and pair again.
Nirvana Iris earbuds (one pair) in their charging case, USB Type-C charging cable, two spare ear tips and the user guide. No power adapter is included.
