boAt Nirvana Crystl True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds - Quantum Black

The boAt Nirvana Crystl true wireless noise cancelling earbuds put a 10 mm driver in each bud and use active noise cancellation that boAt rates at up to 32 dB, for buses, trains and busy offices. A long touch on the right earbud moves between ANC, Ambient and Normal modes, and a long touch on the left switches between Bass Mode and 360 degree boAt Spatial Audio. The boAt Hearables app adds EQ presets, a custom equaliser and Adaptive EQ by Mimi, which tunes the sound to a short hearing test. Two microphones in each earbud with ENx cut the background noise on calls.

Multipoint keeps the earbuds connected to two devices at once, such as a phone and a laptop, and IWP reconnects them as soon as the case opens. In-ear detection pauses the music when you take the earbuds out, and BEAST Mode brings the audio delay down to about 60 ms for games and video. boAt rates playback at up to 100 hours in total with ANC off, or 80 hours with ANC on, and ASAP Charge gives about 220 minutes of music from a 10-minute charge.

This Quantum Black pair sits in boAt's see-through Crystl charging case. Volume is set from the phone unless you give a tap that job in the app, and IPX4 covers sweat and splashes, not swimming. A USB Type-C cable and two spare ear tips are in the box, but no power adapter.

Charge the case and earbuds before first use with the Type-C cable from the box; no adapter is included. Open the case lid and the earbuds switch on with a short white light; take them out and the LEDs flash white for pairing. Pick "Nirvana Crystl" in your phone's Bluetooth list (Android phones can also save it to your Google account for faster pairing); after that IWP reconnects them each time the case opens. Scan the QR code on the bottom of the box, or search the Play Store or App Store, to install the boAt Hearables app, which switches noise cancelling modes, turns on Spatial Audio, sets the equaliser and Adaptive EQ, changes the touch controls, manages multipoint and in-ear detection, and updates the firmware. By default a single tap on either earbud plays, pauses or answers a call, a double tap ends or rejects a call, a double tap on the left or right earbud goes to the previous or next track, a triple tap turns BEAST Mode on or off, four taps on the right earbud call up the voice assistant, and a two-second touch on the right earbud cycles Ambient, ANC and Normal. To reset, forget "Nirvana Crystl" on your phone, put both earbuds in the case and hold the reset button on the case for 10 seconds until the earbuds and the case blink white 5 times, close the lid for 5 seconds, then open it and pair again.
