Beats Solo 4 On-Ear Wireless Headphones - Slate Blue

Beats Solo 4 are on-ear wireless headphones that bring back the classic Solo shape with new parts inside. Custom-built 40 mm transducers and rebalanced acoustics give the familiar Beats sound with more detail, and Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking uses built-in gyroscopes and accelerometers to place the sound around you on supported content. At 217 g, with UltraPlush cushions, a flex-grip headband and angled ear cups, they are light enough for long listening.

They work equally well with iPhone and Android. Both get one-touch pairing, automatic pre-pairing across your devices, and Find My or Find My Device; Apple devices add Audio Sharing and Hey Siri. Class 1 Bluetooth 5.3 gives longer range and fewer dropouts, and a built-in DAC plays lossless audio over the supplied USB-C cable or the 3.5 mm analogue cable. Wired listening on the 3.5 mm cable uses no battery at all. Beam-forming microphones with a voice-targeting algorithm keep calls clear.

Apple rates the battery at up to 50 hours, and a 10-minute Fast Fuel charge gives up to 5 hours of playback. There is no active noise cancelling: the on-ear cushions block some outside sound but not like ANC headphones, and they have no automatic pause when you take them off. Apple gives no water resistance rating, and the USB-C power adapter is sold separately. The Slate Blue pair comes with a soft carrying case and both cables.

Charge the headphones first with the supplied USB-C to USB-C cable and your own USB-C power adapter or a laptop port. The first time you switch them on they go into pairing mode. With an iPhone, hold the headphones next to the unlocked iPhone and follow the on-screen prompts; they then pair with the other devices signed in to your Apple Account. On Android, accept the Fast Pair pop-up or set them up in the Beats app, which also handles software updates. For other devices, choose Beats Solo 4 in the Bluetooth menu. To listen wired, plug in the USB-C cable or the 3.5 mm analogue cable.

Apple's One (1) Year Limited Warranty covers Beats branded products against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of original retail purchase, in addition to your rights under consumer law. Keep your invoice, as Apple may ask for proof of purchase. Batteries that wear with normal use and damage from accidents, misuse or unauthorised repairs are not covered, and Apple may limit warranty service to the country where the product was first sold; this is the India model.
