Apple USB-C to Lightning Cable (2 m)

The Apple USB-C to Lightning Cable (2 m) has a USB-C plug on one end and a Lightning plug on the other. Use it to charge and sync a Lightning iPhone, iPad or iPod from a Mac or PC with USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports, or to charge from a USB-C wall adapter. At 2 metres it reaches a bed or sofa from a wall socket more easily than the 1 metre version.

Apple lists it for use with its 18W, 20W, 29W, 30W, 61W, 87W and 96W USB-C power adapters, and with one of these it can fast charge supported iPhone and iPad models. It also charges AirPods and AirPods Max that still use a Lightning case or port, and a USB-C iPad can charge a Lightning iPhone through it.

This cable is only useful for Lightning devices. The iPhone 15 and later use USB-C, so they need a USB-C cable instead. No power adapter comes with it, and data runs at Lightning's USB 2 speed, so large photo and video transfers take longer than over a USB-C to USB-C connection.

Plug the USB-C end into a USB-C power adapter, Mac or PC, and the Lightning end into your iPhone, iPad, iPod or AirPods case. Charging starts straight away. The first time you connect an iPhone or iPad to a computer, unlock it and tap Trust to allow syncing.
