Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter

The Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter has a USB-C plug on a short cable and three ports: HDMI, a standard USB-A and USB-C for charging. Plug it into a USB-C Mac, iPad or iPhone, connect an HDMI cable to a TV, monitor or projector, and mirror or extend your screen with video and audio.

Apple lists 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz on the iPhone 15 and later standard and Pro models, recent iPad Pro and iPad Air models and many Macs, and 1080p at 60Hz or 4K at 30Hz on some older Macs and the iPad Air (4th generation). The USB-A port takes a flash drive, camera or a Lightning to USB cable, while the USB-C port charges the connected device.

An HDMI cable is not included. Apple's list leaves out the iPhone 16e, iPhone 17e and iPhone Air, so check your model first. It needs macOS Mojave 10.14.6 or later, or iOS 12.4 or later, and the single HDMI port drives one display.

Plug the adapter into the USB-C or Thunderbolt port on your Mac, iPad or iPhone, then connect an HDMI cable from the adapter to your TV, monitor or projector. To charge at the same time, connect your USB-C charging cable to the adapter's USB-C port. On a Mac, choose mirroring or an extended desktop in Displays settings.
