The Apple Mac mini M4 Pro with 24GB RAM and a 512GB SSD is 12.7 cm wide and deep, 5 cm tall and weighs 0.73 kg, so it fits beside or under a monitor on any desk. The enclosure is Silver aluminium and the power supply is built in, so a single power cord is all it needs.
The Apple M4 Pro chip has a 12-core CPU with 8 performance and 4 efficiency cores, a 16-core GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing and a 16-core Neural Engine for Apple Intelligence. Its 24GB of unified memory runs at 273GB/s, and the SSD holds 512GB. The three Thunderbolt 5 ports on the back run at up to 120Gb/s and can drive up to three 6K displays. HDMI and Gigabit Ethernet sit beside them, and the front has two USB-C ports and a headphone jack.
The box holds only the Mac mini and a 1.8 m power cord, so you need your own display, keyboard and mouse. All USB ports are USB-C, there is no SD card slot, and memory and storage are fixed at purchase. The power button is on the underside, towards the back.
Connect a display to the HDMI port or a Thunderbolt port, plug in a USB or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and connect the power cord from the box. Press the power button on the underside, towards the back. Setup Assistant then walks you through Wi-Fi, your Apple Account and Migration Assistant, which can copy your files from another Mac or a Windows PC.
