Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter

The Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter has a Lightning plug on a short cable and a small block with a USB-A socket and a Lightning socket. Plug it into a Lightning iPad or iPhone and connect a camera or card reader to import photos and videos straight into the Photos app, including JPEG and RAW files and H.264 video.

The USB socket also works with many standard USB accessories, such as keyboards, audio and MIDI interfaces and Ethernet adapters. Connect a Lightning cable and USB power adapter to the second port to power accessories that need more current and to charge the iPad or iPhone at the same time.

USB 3 speed applies only to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro (1st and 2nd generation) and the 10.5-inch iPad Pro; other Lightning iPads and iPhones transfer at USB 2 speed. It does not fit USB-C iPads or the iPhone 15 and later, which use the USB-C to USB Adapter instead. Apple no longer lists this adapter on apple.com/in.

Plug the adapter into the Lightning port on your iPad or iPhone, then connect your camera, card reader or USB accessory to the USB socket. The Photos app opens the import screen for cameras and cards. For accessories that need more power, connect a Lightning cable and USB power adapter to the adapter's Lightning port.
