Apple iPhone Air MagSafe Battery

The Apple iPhone Air MagSafe Battery is a thin, light battery pack made only for iPhone Air. It attaches magnetically to the back of the phone, directly or through a MagSafe case, starts charging on its own and shows its status on the Lock Screen and in the Batteries widget. Fully charged, it adds up to 65% charge to iPhone Air.

On the go it charges iPhone Air wirelessly at up to 12W. Plug the battery into a 30W or higher USB-C power adapter while it is attached and it charges the phone at up to 20W, topping up iPhone Air to 80% or more before charging itself. Its USB-C port also charges small accessories such as AirPods that support USB Power Delivery.

It only pairs with iPhone Air and will not work with other iPhone models. No USB-C cable or power adapter is in the box; Apple asks for a 20W or higher adapter to recharge it, and an adapter below 20W charges it slowly.

Before first use, charge the battery fully with a USB-C to USB-C cable and a 20W or higher power adapter (neither is included); the status light flashes green when it is full. Then attach it to the back of your iPhone Air, directly or through a MagSafe case, and charging starts on its own. Remove any case that holds cards first. Firmware updates install automatically while it is attached.
