Apple iPhone 16e, 128GB - Black

The Apple iPhone 16e in Black has an aluminium design with a Ceramic Shield front and a glass back. It weighs 167 g, is 7.80 mm thin and is rated IP68, tested to 6 metres for 30 minutes. The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display reaches 800 nits typical and 1,200 nits for HDR content.

The A18 chip has a 6-core CPU, a 4-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine, and runs Apple Intelligence. The single 48MP Fusion camera on the back has optical image stabilisation and also gives a 12MP 2x Telephoto option. Video goes up to 4K Dolby Vision at 60 fps. The 12MP TrueDepth front camera has autofocus, and the Action button can run a shortcut.

Apple rates the battery at up to 26 hours of video playback, and it reaches 50% in around 30 minutes with a 20W adapter, sold separately. It charges over USB-C, which runs at USB 2 speeds, or on Qi wireless chargers; Apple does not list MagSafe. There is no Ultra Wide camera, no Camera Control and no Dynamic Island. The India model takes one nano-SIM plus an eSIM, and Apple India no longer sells the iPhone 16e.

The India model has a SIM tray on the left side for one nano-SIM, and it also takes an eSIM, so you can use two numbers. Charge it with the USB-C Charge Cable from the box and your own USB-C power adapter, then turn it on. If you have another iPhone, keep it unlocked nearby with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on and use Quick Start to copy your apps and data. Keep both phones close and plugged in until the transfer finishes.

iPhone 16e, a USB-C Charge Cable (1 m) and documentation. A power adapter and EarPods are not included.
