The iPad mini (A17 Pro) is Apple's smallest iPad: an aluminium tablet 6.3 mm thin and 293 g, easy to hold in one hand. Its 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display shows 2266 x 1488 pixels at 326 ppi, with 500 nits, True Tone and an anti-reflective coating. This listing is the 256GB Wi-Fi model in Starlight.
Inside is the A17 Pro chip with a 6-core CPU, a 5-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine, ready for Apple Intelligence in iPadOS, games and drawing apps. Apple Pencil Pro pairs wirelessly and charges on the magnetic side connector; Apple Pencil (USB-C) also works. The 12MP Wide camera records 4K video, and the 12MP Center Stage front camera keeps you in frame on calls.
This Wi-Fi model connects over Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 and has no SIM or GPS, so away from Wi-Fi it needs a hotspot. Apple rates the battery at up to 10 hours of web or video. The USB-C port moves data at up to 10Gb/s and drives one external display up to 4K. With no Smart Connector, keyboards connect over Bluetooth. There is no headphone jack, and storage cannot be expanded later.
Press and hold the top button to turn the iPad mini on, then follow the setup screens to choose your language, join Wi-Fi and sign in with your Apple Account. If you have an iPhone or another iPad, hold it close and use Quick Start to copy your settings, apps and data. Add your fingerprint to Touch ID in the top button when asked. This Wi-Fi model has no SIM and connects over Wi-Fi or your iPhone's Personal Hotspot. To pair Apple Pencil Pro, attach it to the magnetic connector on the side. Charge the iPad with the 20W USB-C Power Adapter and USB-C Charge Cable from the box.
iPad mini (A17 Pro) in Starlight, USB-C Charge Cable (1 m) and 20W USB-C Power Adapter.
