Apple Pencil Pro Stylus for iPad

The Apple Pencil Pro is a Bluetooth stylus for writing, sketching and marking up on iPad. Squeeze it and a tool palette appears, so you can switch tools, line weights and colours. A gyroscope adds barrel roll, letting you rotate the pencil to steer shaped pen and brush tools, and a custom haptic engine gives a light pulse when you squeeze or double tap.

Apple Pencil hover shows where the tip will land before it touches the screen, and double tap swaps between tools such as a pen and an eraser. If you misplace it, you can locate it in the Find My app. It measures 166 mm long and 8.9 mm across and weighs 19.15 g.

It only works with iPad Pro 13-inch and 11-inch (M5), iPad Pro 13-inch and 11-inch (M4), iPad Air 13-inch and 11-inch (M4, M3 and M2), iPad mini (A17 Pro), on iPadOS 17.5 or later; older iPad Pro models are not supported. It has no charging port and charges on the side of the iPad. Only the pencil is in the box.

Update your iPad to iPadOS 17.5 or later. Attach the Apple Pencil Pro to the magnetic connector on the side of the iPad and follow the prompt on screen to pair it. It charges whenever it is attached there. Change the squeeze and double-tap actions in Settings, Apple Pencil.
