The Apple AirPods Pro 3 are in-ear wireless earbuds built around the Apple H2 headphone chip. Apple says their Active Noise Cancellation removes up to twice as much noise as AirPods Pro 2, and the same chip runs Transparency mode, Adaptive Audio and Conversation Awareness, which lowers your media when you start talking to someone. The ear tips are rotated inward for a more secure fit and add a thin layer of foam to the silicone, in five sizes from XXS to L.
A multiport acoustic architecture, a custom high-excursion driver and next-generation Adaptive EQ shape the sound, and Personalised Spatial Audio adds dynamic head tracking. A built-in heart rate sensor tracks heart rate and calories burned during workouts in the Fitness app on iPhone. Swipe the stem to change the volume and press it for playback, calls and listening modes. Voice Isolation keeps calls clear, and Live Translation works with an Apple Intelligence iPhone where Apple offers it.
Apple rates up to 8 hours of listening with noise cancelling on, 6.5 hours with heart rate sensing during a workout, and up to 24 hours with the case. The MagSafe Charging Case charges over USB-C or on a MagSafe, Qi-certified or Apple Watch charger, and has a speaker, Ultra Wideband for Precision Finding and a lanyard loop. The earbuds and case are rated IP57 for non-water sports, not swimming. No USB-C cable or power adapter comes in the box.
Charge the case with a USB-C cable and power adapter (neither is in the box), or place it on a MagSafe charger, an Apple Watch charger or a Qi-certified wireless charger. To pair with an iPhone, turn on Bluetooth, open the case next to the unlocked iPhone and tap Connect when the setup card appears; they then work with your other Apple devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Try the ear tip sizes in the box to find the best seal. On an Android phone or Windows laptop, open the case with both earbuds inside, double-tap the front of the case until the status light flashes white, then choose AirPods in that device's Bluetooth settings.
