The Apple AirPods Max (USB-C) in Blue are wireless over-ear headphones built around an Apple-designed dynamic driver and an Apple H1 headphone chip in each ear cup. Active Noise Cancellation uses eight of the nine microphones to cut outside noise, Transparency mode lets the room back in at the press of a button, and Adaptive EQ tunes the sound to how the cushions sit on your head.
Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking places sound around you for films and music. The Digital Crown turns for volume and presses for playback, calls and Siri, and Hey Siri works hands-free with Apple devices. Anodised aluminium ear cups, a knit-mesh canopy and memory foam cushions spread the 386.2 g weight, and over a wired USB-C connection you can play Lossless Audio from compatible content.
Apple rates up to 20 hours of listening, or 20 hours of movie playback, with Active Noise Cancellation on, and a 5-minute charge gives about 1.5 hours. Storing them in the Smart Case puts them in an ultra-low-power state. There is no 3.5 mm jack, no power adapter in the box and no water resistance rating. This is the 2024 USB-C model (A3184) with the H1 chip, not the 2026 AirPods Max 2.
Charge AirPods Max with the USB-C Charge Cable from the box and your own USB-C power adapter or a computer. To pair with an iPhone, turn on Bluetooth, hold AirPods Max next to the unlocked iPhone and tap Connect when the setup card appears. On an Android phone, Windows laptop or other Bluetooth device, press and hold the listening mode button until the status light flashes white, then choose AirPods Max in that device's Bluetooth settings. When you are not using them, put them in the Smart Case to save charge.

Apple's One (1) Year Limited Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of original retail purchase, in addition to your rights under consumer law. Liquid damage is not covered. Keep your invoice, as Apple may ask for proof of purchase.
