The Apple AirPods Max 2 in Purple are wireless over-ear headphones built around an Apple-designed dynamic driver, a custom high-dynamic-range amplifier and an Apple H2 headphone chip in each ear cup. Apple says Active Noise Cancellation is up to 1.5 times more effective than on the previous generation, Adaptive Audio adjusts noise control to your surroundings, and Conversation Awareness lowers your media and brings voices forward when you start speaking.

Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking places sound around you for films and games, and Adaptive EQ tunes music to your ears in real time. The Digital Crown turns for volume and presses for playback, calls, the camera remote and Siri. Anodised aluminium ear cups, a stainless steel frame, a knit-mesh canopy and memory foam cushions carry over the AirPods Max design at 386.2 g, and over a wired USB-C connection you can play Lossless Audio with ultra-low latency from compatible content.

Apple rates up to 20 hours of listening with Active Noise Cancellation on, and a 5-minute charge gives about 1.5 hours. Storing them in the Smart Case puts them in an ultra-low-power state. Live Translation needs a compatible iPhone with Apple Intelligence and may not be available in every language. There is no 3.5 mm jack, no power adapter in the box and no water resistance rating. This is the 2026 model (A3454) with the H2 chip, not the 2024 AirPods Max (USB-C).

Charge AirPods Max 2 with the USB-C Charge Cable from the box and your own USB-C power adapter or a computer. To pair with an iPhone, turn on Bluetooth, hold AirPods Max 2 next to the unlocked iPhone and tap Connect when the setup card appears. On an Android phone, Windows laptop or other Bluetooth device, press and hold the listening mode button until the status light flashes white, then choose AirPods Max in that device's Bluetooth settings. When you are not using them, put them in the Smart Case to save charge.

AirPods Max 2, Smart Case, USB-C Charge Cable and documentation. A power adapter is not included.

Apple's One (1) Year Limited Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of original retail purchase, in addition to your rights under consumer law. Liquid damage is not covered. Keep your invoice, as Apple may ask for proof of purchase.
