The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Select is Amazon's entry-level 4K streaming stick, launched in India in October 2025 as the first device here to run Amazon's new Vega OS. Plug it into a 4K TV's HDMI port and it streams at up to 2160p and 60 fps with HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG, and it turns a non-smart TV into a smart one.

A quad-core 1.7 GHz processor and 8 GB of storage run apps such as Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, JioHotstar, Apple TV and Zee5, with subscriptions charged separately. Press the Alexa Voice Remote to search across apps in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and more, and use it to control power and volume on many TVs and soundbars over IR. When the TV is idle, the Fire TV Ambient Experience shows over 2,000 pieces of art and photography.

Dual-band, dual-antenna Wi-Fi keeps streams steady, and Bluetooth 5.0 pairs headphones, speakers and game controllers. Dolby audio passes through HDMI to your TV or soundbar. It runs from a wall socket through the included adapter, as the micro-USB port is for power only, and 4K playback needs a 4K TV with HDCP 2.2.

Plug the stick into a free HDMI port on your TV, using the HDMI extender if space is tight. Connect the power cable to the stick and the adapter to a wall socket. Put the two AAA batteries in the remote, switch the TV to that HDMI input and follow the on-screen steps to join your Wi-Fi and sign in to your Amazon account.
