The Aiwa SB-X350A is a compact portable Bluetooth speaker from Aiwa's SB-X series, rated at 40W in total. Two passive bass radiators, one on each side, add low end to a box just 23 cm wide. The body is solid iron with aluminium-finish end panels, so at 1.12 kg it sits firmly on a desk or shelf.
Pair a phone over Bluetooth 5.0, with aptX HD for 24-bit audio from phones that support the codec. A 3.5mm AUX input and a USB-IN port on the back accept wired sources. Six buttons on the top cover: power, mode, play/pause and volume. TWS Multi-Link pairs it with a second SB-X350A or an SB-X350J for synced sound.
The built-in battery (four 2000 mAh cells) is rated for about 5 hours at half volume and takes around 4 hours to charge over USB Type-C. That is short for a portable speaker, so it suits a desk where you can top it up. Only a Type-C cable comes in the box, and Aiwa lists no water or dust rating, so keep it away from rain and the pool.
